When I first met Maggie Dana of Meg Dana & Co., Inc. I knew I found something very special!!!  Her handmade hair accessories were displayed on a table and it looked like a flower garden made for a princess!  Handmade tutus that were embellished with flowers and tiny crystals hung behind the display adding to the enchanted feeling.  As Maggie showed me her designs and explained in great detail of the time and effort she puts into her work (yes, all of the designs are made by her!) I realized the real jewel was the artist herself.  She loves her work and explains it is her creative outlet.  Every piece, even the small baby hair clips, are finished beautifully by hand and a small label placed discreetly on it.  The flowers are real looking and delicate and there's always a little sparkle somewhere by a handplaced crystal in just the right spots.  If Maggie can't find a certain color ribbon or fabric she wants she has been known to dye the perfect blend in-house.  Her tutus are especially beautiful and there's always a whimsical addition to make certain everyone is surprised - such as the matching beautiful flower stretch headband and flower pin to add to your own leotard to pull the look together.  I can only wonder what Maggie will come up with by the next time I see her - and I can't wait!!!
